You may have noticed an increase in your weight over the last couple of years as many men have and you may be trying to figure out what you can do to get back to lean status. There are options from increased exercise (physical activity), fasting, reducing calories from food and drink or a combination of all of these. What you eat is a major part of the struggle and our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as well as his companions and those after them would give the advice to be careful of how one fills his stomach.
Leading a fitness lifestyle sounds great to most men but when it comes to the hard work of actualising that lifestyle we can fall flat on our faces. Figuring out how to reduce the foods we enjoy eating is difficult, waking up early to prepare meals feels like torture, getting into a routine of exercise is some self-inflicted punishment and on and on. The key is to set goals that fit your lifestyle.
To stay healthy, to improve your health and to keep your body in running order it’s important to eat with a balanced nutritional regime. But aside from food its also important for you to do a good amount of exercise each day if possible.
